- How complicated the website is (more features = more baking time)
- How many people are available to work on it (more hands on deck = faster baking)
- How many changes you ask for along the way (more frosting ideas = a bit longer to decorate)
We’ll talk about all this in our first meeting and give you a better idea of how long it will take for your website to be ready. We’ll also set clear deadlines along the way to keep things on track, just like making sure your cake goes in the oven on time!

It’s pretty easy to do, kind of like updating your social media profiles.
But if you ever get stuck with something tricky, like fixing the code or adding fancy features, that’s where our website maintenance crew comes in! They’re the experts and can handle anything beyond the basic stuff.

What Is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines like Google and Bing. It’s about making sure that your website shows up when people do searches on those search engines. The goal of SEO is to get more visitors to your website by increasing organic traffic.
Why do I need SEO services?
SEO services help your site rank better in the search engines organically. Better rankings in relevant terms will drive more traffic to your site, creating the ability for better exposure and revenue streams.
- A professional website creates credibility and connection with the customer.
- We identify the user intent and strategically place calls to action throughout your site.
- Search engine optimization helps your customers find you so you can grow your business.
What are the best ways to optimize my site?
Imagine your website is a treehouse. An SEO audit is like inspecting it before your friends come over. We check the whole thing to see if it’s sturdy (structure) and make a list of what needs fixing (to-do list). We also see if anything needs rearranging to make it more fun (content adjustments), so your friends have the best time hanging out in your awesome treehouse!
How does Google view my site?
Imagine you built a super cool fort in your backyard, but no one else knows it’s there! Google Search Console (GSC) is like a free tool with a built-in flashlight and walkie-talkie.
- Flashlight: GSC helps you see if Google can find your fort (website) and all its awesome features (pages).
- Walkie-Talkie: You can tell Google about your fort (submit a sitemap) and make sure the directions are clear (robots.txt file).
- Secret Passages: GSC shows you who else can find your fort (links to your site) and helps you keep bad stuff out (disavow links).
Basically, GSC is a free way to make sure people can find your awesome website!
What is Google Search Console?
Imagine you built a sweet treehouse but nobody knows it exists! Google Search Console (GSC) is like a free toolbox to help people find your awesome hangout. It’s like having a walkie-talkie, flashlight, and a guestbook for your treehouse:
- Walkie-Talkie: You can tell Google about your treehouse (submit a sitemap) and make sure the directions are clear (robots.txt file).
- Flashlight: GSC helps you see if Google can find your treehouse (website) and all its cool features (pages).
- Guestbook: GSC shows you who else can find your treehouse (links to your site).
But that’s not all! GSC also lets you do some other cool stuff:
- Fix wobbly stairs: If there are problems with your treehouse (website errors), GSC can help you fix them and ask Google to check it out again.
- Track visitors: See how many people visit your treehouse (website traffic) and what search terms they used to find it.
- Secret alerts: GSC lets you know if anything weird happens with your treehouse, like bugs or spam.
- Cool features: There are even tools to check if your treehouse is mobile-friendly (easy to use on phones) and troubleshoot other fancy features.
Basically, GSC is a free way to make sure people can find your awesome website and see everything it has to offer!
What is Google Analytics?
Imagine you built a lemonade stand but have no idea how much lemonade you’re selling. Google Analytics is like a free superpower for your website that helps you see exactly who’s visiting your stand (website). Here’s what it can tell you:
- How many customers? See how many people visit your stand (website) each day!
- What flavors are popular? See which pages visitors look at the most, like your “crazy cherry” or “super sour” lemonade (different website pages).
- Who lingers for more? Track how long people stay on each page, figuring out which parts of your website are the most interesting.
With Google Analytics, it’s like having a secret camera at your lemonade stand, so you can see what’s working and keep your customers coming back for more!
How can Social Media be used for SEO?
Social media presents opportunities to acquire backlinks and social mentions to your site’s pages, articles, press releases, etc. Social media campaigns are a popular and ever-growing aspect of the Web and are a great compliment to an SEO or SEM campaign. Engaging in social media presents a unique opportunity to build up a community around your particular product or services allowing you to stay connected and provide messaging to your most loyal purchasers.
Is SEO a good investment?
When SEO is viewed as a medium to long term investment, it can be the single best use of a company’s marketing budget. Like any investment, if you go about doing SEO in an intelligent way, it is likely to serve you well. On the other hand, if you don’t pay much attention to it, asking an intern to handle it in their spare time or hiring the cheapest SEO company you can find, it can easily fail. Finding an SEO consultant to produce top-quality content consistently and share it regularly, you have the formula for an investment that will blow away other forms of marketing.
How long does SEO take?
While some of our clients see results more quickly, SEO typically takes 3-6 months to begin seeing a return on your investment. In the same way that you can’t start a diet today and have instantaneous results, the benefits of SEO build over time. While Pay Per Click advertising may give you immediate results, it’s a short-term solution, and your advertising budget must start over every month. When you stop paying for ads, the revenue dries up. SEO builds momentum, so every dollar you invest goes back into your business and continues to generate long-term results. It’s the difference between renting a house and buying one; the benefits of SEO are yours to keep.
Can I purchase SEO services individually to keep costs down?
Our SEO process is unique and each step contributes to the end result. We will do everything we can to meet your budget, but we do not offer a la carte SEO solutions. Local Leap has a team of SEO experts and copywriters that contribute to each step in the process. We include custom analytics reporting, social media management, and a unique website framework that makes your business stand out. And remember that, unlike paid advertising, every dollar you invest in SEO goes back into your business and the results are yours to keep.
What makes Thread and Pixel’s SEO process better?
- Our website framework can accommodate unlimited design options and is built to improve overall download speed.
- We offer dedicated customer support. 99% of our help desk tickets are solved within a few hours.
- Our SEO results have been validated by hundreds of businesses. Every customer continually sees solid growth year over year.
What is SEO?
SEO is like magic for websites! It stands for “search engine optimization” and basically means making your website show up higher in search results on Google, Bing, and other search engines. Imagine you have a lemonade stand, and SEO is like putting up bright signs with big arrows pointing right at it. When people search for lemonade online, your stand will be one of the first they see! This way, more people who want what you offer can find you easily.
What does organic mean with regard to SEO?
Imagine you’re searching for the best pizza place on Google. The first few results you see are the “organic” ones. These websites haven’t paid to be there, they’ve just gotten really good at following the search engine’s rules (like having awesome content and being super fast to load).
Then, you might see some ads for pizza places at the top or off to the side. Those are the “paid” results. Restaurants pay to have those ads show up, kind of like renting a billboard on a busy street.
A good SEO strategy is all about getting your website high in the organic results, like that awesome pizza place with the great reviews. It’s free and can last a long time, unlike those paid ads that disappear as soon as you stop paying.
What is a meta description?
A meta description is the text that appears below your page in a search engine result that explains what the page is all about.
What is a sitemap.xml file?
This file is an index of all the pages on your site. It’s a quick reference for search engines of content that you want indexed.
What is a URL?
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It’s your web site’s address on the internet.
What are Page Titles & Meta Description tags?
Page Titles & Meta Description tags of a URL are the on page elements that appear in search results for that URL. Page Titles are one of the best ways to define what a particular URL contains for the search engines and needs to be optimized properly for a URL to rank for a specific term.
The Meta Description also helps browsers understand what your site’s pages are about. This is also an opportunity to put some text in front of the potential visitor on the SERP to entice them to click. While optimization is important here, useful information and calls to action also need to be considered depending on the URL.
What are backlinks and how do they affect my rankings?
Backlinks are literally links back to your site from other, trusted sites. Backlinks help improve your rankings. Search engines see backlinks as positive ‘votes’ for your site. Search engines highly associate your site’s backlinks with your site’s ability to satiate a browser’s search wishes.
What is a landing page?
Imagine you set up a cool lemonade stand with a catchy sign. A landing page is like a super-focused lemonade stand sign that appears after someone clicks on your ad. It has clear, interesting info about your “lemonade” (your product or service) and makes it super easy for thirsty customers (visitors) to buy it (make a purchase) or do whatever else you want them to do (like sign up for a free trial). Landing pages are often used with online ads, like those on Google, because you can design them to match the ad perfectly, making them even more tempting!
What are keywords and how do you select them for SEO?
Keywords are the terms that people use when searching for a business or service on a search engine like Google. There are three main ways to figure out the best SEO keywords for your website: (1) Keyword research through Google or other online tools (2) asking potential customers what they searched for to find your company; (3) researching competitors’ websites. You can also use our online website audit tool to see how your website matches up against competitors and ranks for a specific keyword.
What is alt text and why do I need it on my images?
Search engines cannot read images, but they can read text. The alt text helps them figure out what the images are all about. Plus, if a page doesn’t load for some reason, people can still find out what the image is by reading the alt text.
